A cooler than normal season led to a vintage with bright acidity and fresh fruit flavors.  Flavors including black cherry, red fruit, blackberry, cassis, and notes of white flowers, mineral, herbs, licorice, and earthiness.  Oak characteristics of vanilla, tobacco and cedar.
